Very well built component. Ford should have used this from the start.

Got this to replace my original 7.3 pickup. Easy install if you remove the bed as its all right there and then you don’t have to worry about how much is in the tank. To get the bed off its basically the bed bolts, disconnect the wiring, undo your differential vent hose, undo your filler hose and with a couple of people just lift it right off. Now I have to get used to the fuel gauge again as its super accurate with this unit. No more having to worry about when it would fun out of fuel (quarter tank, just above or below a quarter tank, etc). Also get the billet quick disconnects from Riffraff if your sticking with stock lines; it makes the job super easy.

Why bother buy a new sending unit when you can spend a little more and get this beauty. No more crappy clogged screens. No more broken plastic bits floating around your tank from the foot breaking off. I also added the Airdog 5g at the same time for my filtration needs. Get the high volume fuel pickup quick disconnect fittings to make this an even easier install!

Thank you Riffraff for another great aftermarket solution! I installed this in my 2002 7.3L Diesel Excursion. The gauge was erratic. I had dropped the tank multiple time before trying to band-aid the factory sender until I could find what I felt was an acceptable solution. Riffraff came through again for me with this pick-up. Its a great solution with the added benefit of future increase of capacity if needed. The part looks and feel like quality! Thanks again Riffraff!!

I bought this to combine with the Riffraff canister filter to get rid of the screens and pickup foot in the fuel tank. Its a more expensive way to go about it but it all looks clean and is high quality. No cobbled up mess to have come apart later. I also bought the billet adapters to sub back down to the stock quick connect as my truck is remaining stock. High quality product like everything else from Riffraff.

I waited almost 2 years for these to be rereleased and it was worth the wait. My dash gauge works again, I would say even more accurately than stock. Unit dropped right into my tank and came pre-wired for an easy install.

Aside from being a high quality Riffraff Diesel product, I purchased this pickup for a number of other reasons.

1.) It's WAY cheaper than a replacement sending unit for these trucks. Now my fuel gauge works correctly and more accurately to the level of fuel in my tank.

2.) You don't have to drill a hole in your tank just to use an aftermarket fuel system (In my case, I have the Fass 220G). Granted, you WILL need to use the proper adapters/fittings (which can be easily found online). What I ended up doing was "T" in the factory return line to the return port on the Riffraff HVP using more AN based fittings. I'd recommend using a check valve on the factory line if you go this route, though.

3.) No more 1/4 tank issue from the pickup foot falling off; or screens getting clogged from debris or buildup.

Riffraff has done it again with a break through in technology this sender is affordable as all get out and the fact its an upgrade from factory is a plus plus everyone i know wants one and with good reason

Amazingly engineered, easy to install. This is everything it should be and more. Stop thinking about it and do it. Period.
