    Like OEM but better!

Posted by Jeffrey on Nov 10th 2017

This fit's perfectly, I had to unbolt the aluminum intake to get it to fit. Also the claps were a bit tight but I just failed to get better bigger ones. Once it was in firm it is solid and looks like it will last longer than the truck probably will! It also seems like the original aluminum intake is more solid than the replacement plastic one offered by ford.

MUCH more firm than the stock boot

Posted by Evan on Nov 1st 2017

This boot is much more firm than the my old, oil soaked, and cracked International intake boot that was on my '96 f250. I reroutedd the CV so nonmore oil will go into the intake! The boot should last a really long time. Looks good, feels solid. The only con of it is, I had to trim about 1/4" off of one end, but it's no big deal. Takes some patience to get it clocked just right, but if you put a little rubber lube or even a little engine oil in the boot to make it slide a little easier on the aluminum elbow and on the compressor housing, you will be able to twist it with no problems in order to bolt the elbow back on. Fast shipping too!

Great product, far superior to the stock part. Only about a 15 min install, don't wait till yours is falling apart like I did.

Quality material, not easy to install

Posted by Brutus on Sep 6th 2017

The material is great quality, as is anything made by Riffraff, but the install was difficult and it had to be twisted and wrangled into place. I eventually got it on to the turbo, but it was twisted and it was just too hard and too much trial and error to get straight. I took it off and put the original factory boot back on. I will try again to put it on when I have the time and motivation to wrestle a rubber boot into place.
