Oil Level Gauge Adapter Repair Kit - Ford 7.3L (94-03) - GZ-8-011
A full repair kit for the adapter that is located on the passenger's side of the oil pan where the dip stick tube is connected to the oil pan. This kit will fit all 7.3L Ford diesels from 1994 to 2003 and the engine oil pan does not have to be removed.
Parts and tools included with the kit are
1. Loctite 515 Flange sealant
2. Galley Brush
3. Oil level gauge adapter gasket
4. Viton Oil level gauge adapter O-ring
5. Viton Oil level tube O-ring
6. Oil level flange nut
*If oil pan is warped or wrinkled a reseal kit may not work and a new pan is required.

Installation of the kit has stopped leakage from pan. Seems a good value compared to some other options that add pieces into engine pan. Take your time with threading new nut onto old dipstick retainer. Clean it well. Working the threads back and forth a bit seemed to help and advanced a bit easier each time.
It eventually threaded smoothly and sealed well. -

Im sure when this product does work its great, but for me the big o-ring seemed too small, so when id get it on the oring groove on one side, it would be too far inwards toward the center on the otherside. I also could not for the life of me get the nut threaded onto the adaptor with the extra half millimeter thickness of the gasket so i had to ditch the gasket to barely get the nut threaded on... in combination with the rtv sealent on the adaptor threads and the mating surface of the oil pan, and the oring that wouldnt really fit into the oring groove i was hoping one of the methods would stop it from leaking. But alas now my leak is way worse than before i attempted the repair. I went ahead and just bought the rediculously expensive strictly diesel adaptor replacment. Guess thats why they charge so much... because its about the only thing that really works and they know that.

Good product just make sure you get the o ring in place or it won't tighten up all the way

5 Dipstick fitting repair kit

This kit worked great to fix the oil leak around my dipstick fitting. I ended up using the paper gasket per the instructions since the swelled oring had deformed the inner flange with the oring groove. The brush makes it easy to not drop the fitting in the pan. My kit came with ultra black permatex rather than the loctite pictured here but maybe they've changed the kit since. Seals and nut were oem Ford parts in the Ford packaging. Quality kit.
