After my 2002 F350 7.3 much troubleshooting, I learned that I burned up the engine wiring harness last October. At first, I ordered a replacement harness for around $179 on Amazon. The truck did run, but was flashing codes and not charging. Afterwards, I ordered a more expensive harness off of Ebay and unfortunately, my truck wouldn't even start. I finally bit the bullet and ordered this harness from Riffraff Diesel. Though it was pricier than the other two harnessess combined, this harness flawlessly works. Please learn from my bad judgement and buy a quality harness fron the get go. It will save you money and hours of frustration!!

Replacing the engine wiring harness is one of the best preventative maintenance items you can do to ensure all your sensors, glow plugs, and injectors have the best connection back to the PCM. Also be sure to check the wiring harness connector and the wiring that can rub on the left valve cover as this might be your issue.

My old wiring harness has seen enough oil over the years that the wiring casing was disintegrating every time I unplugged things, leaving bare copper all over the place. Yikes!
