    Great Clamps

Posted by Unknown on Mar 14th 2017

Work perfect but buy the billet plenum inserts if you're going to use these as they seem to have a ton of clamping force. Only complaint was the 3.25" clamps didn't have enough play to rotate around the intercooler pipes without having to remove the bolt/nut. Even with my inner fender wells out, it was still tough getting the clamp aligned properly so I would have access to it from above if I ever needed to remove it in the future. But overall, still a great product.

    Very nice... heavy duty clamps

Clamps are very nice quality stainless. Looked great on my new engine. They are heavy duty as well.

Sorry to say, I don't like them.

I replaced the factory clamps with these. The problem I came up with is once the clamps is on the hose and you push the the hose onto the inlet, the clamp locks into place and I couldn't move the clamp in order to adjust them for tightening. The threaded stems on the clamp are not long enough for me.
In my opinion I'm sticking with the Ford clamps, you have a lot more slack to readjust the clamps if needed.
Once positioned, the RiffRaff clamps tighten evenly and secure. So it's a matter of preference I'm guessing.

    Worth it!

If your stock clamps are worn out like mine were it is well worth it to get new clamps; especially if upgrading to the Riff Raff boots which are amazing quality.

Great Clamps much better than the spring type.

I bought the boot kit and the plenum reinforcing rings and the clamp set. Great combination! I like these clamps as the spring type limit the amount you can reef down on them. You still need to judge the amount of force you use but I like having the option of cranking down harder if need be.

    Only 1 issue!

Posted by Dumprider on Aug 3rd 2016

I bought a boot set, plenum inserts and the new clamp set. All went well til I was tightening the clamps. Not sure if I just got a bad clamp or what. One of the smaller clamps just broke. Not a over tight issue , it just broke. Had to put one of my old ones back on. No biggie just a freak thing I guess. I have always been happy with anything I get from the Riffraff Boys.
