No modification needed, fits just like a stock turbo. Upgraded injectors would help to get the most out of this turbo, but works perfectly for stock applications.

For the guys who are looking for that extra power under the hood, better towing, or a mileage increase the Garret turbo charger is for you. The Garrett PowerMax is a stock replacement, so it drops right in place of the old turbo. It is one of the best all turbo chargers out there.
The turbo comes with everything you need to install it. Take the old one out and drop the Garrett PowerMax right in place of the old turbo. The turbo come wrapped up nicely and everything is secured in the box so nothing gets damaged. You simply open the box and pull the Garrett PowerMax out and everything you need is right there.
After the install of the new Garrett PowerMax you notice a huge difference and power. From just pulling out of your driveway and driving down the street you can notice there is more power there. While driving if you step on the throttle hard enough you will break the rear tire loose. Once the Garrett PowerMax spools it throws you back into your seat and you feel like your riding in a rocket.
Once you hook your truck to a trailer you can barely feel like your pulling anything. Pulling up long hill grades are effortless now. The truck doesn’t even seem to slow down. The Garrett PowerMax turbo spools very nicely while towing, so driving in stop and go traffic isn’t a big issue. The Garrett PowerMax also makes a nice whistle sound.
On long road trips is where you’ll see your mileage greatly increase. I saw in my truck a 2 miles per gallon increase on a 100 mile road trip. This will save you tons if fuel and will basically pay for itself in a year. The one down fall of the Garrett PowerMax is if you have a straight pipe exhaust you will notice it is much louder, so long road trips the louder exhaust note can get to be annoying.
Overall, the turbo for the money is one of the best you can buy for a stock replacement. The Garrett PowerMax makes more power, towing easier, and saves money on fuel. I highly recommend this turbo to anyone who wants to feel more power and save money on fuel while driving there truck.

Riffraff had the best price I found for this product. When I called to ask questions they were helpful no B/S just answers,they processed the order promptly and it was delivered on time when they said it would be delivered.

This turbo is what it claims a plug and play replacement turbo that comes with an added punch that it advertises. The exact increase in HP and Torque is yet to be determined but it is a noticeable improvement. Once the truck is Dyno'ed and adjusted I'm thinking the result could be even better.

Easy to install great factory replacement.

This is my second powermax turbo. (2 different trucks)Drops right in, doesn't require tuning(but you can), great whistle, and better solution then the OEM turbo.

This was a great replacement for the failing factory turbo. With the added Riffraff pmax wheel it turned out to be an outstanding combination. The price could not be beaten. Of course you can always go bigger but with larger turbo, larger injectors required. But for a replacement, get this from Riffraff.... if you already have or plan to have larger injectors and money is no issue go bigger. Everything I received from here is by far the best.
