Exhaust Back Pressure Tube EBP 99-03
This stainless steel tube runs between the passenger's exhaust manifod and the EBP Sensor mounted on the front of the HPOP reservouir. WIth age the tube will plug with soot and can rust or break apart. The EBP sensor system feeds data to the PCM which effects many of the fueling tables within the PCM and should be kept in good working order to acheive your best fuel economy.

Tube
The tube is fine. It looks lovely however there are no instructions how to remove and replace this tube if you have another alternator in your truck, it seems that you have to take most of the front of the engine off to get it out, but I haven’t seen anything that says that so therefore I was unable to use the tube I had to resort to cleaning out the old one which wasn’t bad, but it looks nice sitting in the box.

Exhaust tube
Didn’t want to chance, breaking the tube. So I bought an oem one, was in ford packaging and fit as expected.

Tube was clogged causing lower MPG and low exhaust back pressure readings. New tube was an easy fix.

Exhaust Back Pressure Tube
02 Excursion 7.3. I also purchased the EBPS sensor and manifold adapter. All quality products and easy to install, once I stopped following the directions on a youTube install video. Takes about 30 minutes to swap everything over.

EBP Tube
Don’t waste your time trying to remove and clean the old one. You will ruin it just trying to get it off. Also purchase the new exhaust manifold fitting as well. And remember that fitting is not an AN hydraulic fitting.
