Donaldson Blue 6637 Filter
I originally had the Napa 6637 filter on the truck and when getting ready to change the air filter decided to buy the blue 6637 from Clay as it was a better price than even the basic parts house 6637 equivalent, even with shipping across the US.
I have used Donaldson filters for all sorts of equipment and trucks at work for years and know them to be top quality when it comes to dirt/particle filtration, but wasn’t sold on the idea that this filter would have significantly more flow than the regular 6637. I am happy to report that after getting it installed and making a few drives, the “seat of the pants” difference is definitely noticeable. The noise isn’t much different than the regular 6637 as they are both open element systems, but the power has increased, especially mid range; such as merging onto the highway or passing in the left lane.
The product gets 5 stars. I do wish, however, that I had followed Clay’s advice and ordered two at once to save on shipping costs when I need another. -
King of Filters
This is by far the best filter for your 7.3L for filtration and flow. Changed to these years ago and never looked back.

One of my favorites
After all of the different work I've done to my truck this is still one of my favorite buys, especially because it's cheap, easy, and a quality part. You can hear the big difference and the turbo loves it too. Pretty simple to install and then very easy to replace after that.

Works good and hooked right up. Had a clear film on the plastic part though.

Wow!
What an improvement. I have run the 6637 from Napa for almost 10 years now. Decided to give this Blue a try and what a massive difference. I can now clean up all my fuel, no smoke, and more power. Wish I had seen these years ago! I am sold, don't waste your time on other filters, get the Donaldson and don't look back.

Upgrades
Decided to go blue when I replaced my old 6637 and haven’t been disappointed yet. Furthermore if there is any thing you need this is the place to get it. Riff Raff is my #1 go to when I need something for my 02 7.3l. Having a hard time finding good place to deal with look no further Riff Raff is the place come to.

Ease of installation
I replaced the old filter and the new Blue one went right on easily and it performs better than expected.
