NOTE: Some 2002 and 2003 models used an oil temp sensor in place of the standard black coolant temp sensor.

COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 99-03
Genuine Motorcraft is the only way to go on these motors. Can't beat the pricing at Riffraff. Very fast shipping also.

Coolant temp sensor
Coolant temp sensor worked great on my 2000 f250.

Great value on all sensors. Keep spares!
A bought all the sensors necessary to keep my 02 7.3 on the road. I also carry spare sensors when I am in the Outback. All purchased from a reliable source with excellent sales service - Riff Raff.

Just because.
Replaced with new water pump. Original one had 195,000 miles on it.

COOLANT TEMP SENSOR
Quality FORD PART.
If Clay recommends something like using a OEM part such as this.... Just listen...follow his reccomendation, STAY AWAY FROM EBAY LIKE PARTS. They are !!NOT!! EQUAL...
Sometimes ford OEM parts are more money than like replacements the only difference being, OEM PARTS WORK!!
Not that I would know how buying a like temp sensor would not work -
Temp sensor
Much like everyone else had no luck with aftermarket sensors. This one worked like they should

Works Perfect
Ford sold me the wrong part. So did Oreilly's, and Autozone. Riff Raff hooked me up and got the Excursion back on the road. Thanks for the reviews that helped me out.

Best price for the right stuff
I tried using an aftermarket sender, even after being warned they don't usually work. But I thought for $7 I'd try it. It didn't work...
I used a paper clip in the wiring harness and turned the key in the ignition, guage jumps to the top. Guage is good, sender doesn't work.
Ordered Thai one from riff raff, they were the best price I could find for OEM anywhere except one shady eBay dealer. Ordered it, and it worked perfectly. Couldn't be happier. -
It works
Dealership sold me the wrong one. This one was the correct one and now my guage works.
