Great CPS for my 2001 F250 PSD!

Posted by Unknown on Jan 22nd 2015

I recently replaced my recall grey CPS with the Motorcraft F4TZ12K073C from RiffRaff.
I haven't been able to check the mileage but the truck starts great now and runs much smoother than before.
Even if there is no appreciable mileage increase I highly recommend this CPS for the later model PSD. It is great!!!

    Spare

Posted by Unknown on Dec 30th 2014

Purchased as a spare to have just in case. Have not installed it yet, still running with the one from the recall. Will probably swap it with the grey one and use it for the spare when it gets warmer. Always super fast shipping. Thanks RiffRaff.

    Best Option Available

Posted by RevDiesel on Dec 24th 2014

Considering the "Black" CPS in no longer available and all the dealer part numbers default to the "Grey" version - this is the only and actually best option for your Diesel. I purchased a brand new "Grey" CPS and it caused extended cranking before starting in the mornings - also had a rougher than normal idle. I contacted Riffraff and got this one - truck starts the best it has ever started with 180,000 miles and runs smooth. This is the one!

    An easy fix

This is keeping my 7.3 running like a champ and continuing to pump out the foot pounds. What a great motor! A genuine motorcraft sensor is the way to go.

    CPS

Posted by Unknown on Dec 12th 2014

Bought the Motorcraft CPS to replace a 5 month old Napa CPS. So far works great. Riffraff Diesel had great prices and very fast shipping.
I am comfortable recommending them to my friends and family.

Tried several different cps's and this one works best.

So I've recently embarked on the hunt for the best cps option in my early 99 7.3 F350. I started with the Ford recall grey sensor, it works but runs loud and sounds rough. I tried a Standard Motor Products PC139 and while this one definitely made my truck idle smoothest/quietest and overall gave good performance it only lasted 2 weeks..
I then tried a Borg Warner (BWD) CPS, this one ran well, looks more like the original black cps with the larger magnet. The BWD ran smoother than the Grey recall cps but not as smooth as the Standard Motor cps. I did have a couple incidents with the truck dying while running the intermittent wipers and it eventually stopped working after about a week.. Im now running this dark blue/charcoal international cps and so far so good. The truck doesn't run as smooth as with the Standard and BWD but a little better than the Grey recall sensor. I've been running it for about a week so far worth no issues.

    My backup one

Posted by Joe O. on Nov 16th 2014

Bought this to have as a backup in my glove box. Had to recently replace the old one in my truck with the newer version like this one I bought. So far the replacement is working great but never hurts to have an extra one of these with you as I've learned from the advice of others and it paid off.

    Motorcraft or nothing!

Wasted 25 on a Borg Warner replacement cps. Started to sputter once it got hot and through a code within a week. Order my oem replacement and haven't had an issue since. Lesson learned!

    CPS Sensor

This fixed my '94.5 Powerstroke - now running reliably. If you run ok and then get very rough missing and then no start this may be it. It's a good thing to have as a spare anyway and is cheap.
