EARLY 1999 Model Warning - Many of the Early 1999 original pumps have a smaller outlet thread size for the quick connect fitting. If you have an Early 1999, check to see that the threads on the fitting are a 10mm fine pitch thread (9.9mm - 9.8mm as measured with calipers). If your fitting is smaller that this, include the new fuel outlet fitting with your order.

    No More Whining Pump!

Posted by Tyler on Feb 27th 2017

I bought our Excursion and the fuel pump would whine when you would turn the key before you started it up. You could even hear it sometimes at idle. The new pump fixed that problem! Thanks RiffRaff for your great service!

This pump was a direct replacement. You do need to remove your stock pump outlet fitting and install it in the new pump. Also you should get a spare horseshoe clip that holds the inlet fuel line to the pump, mine broke when removing it ( I picked up a new one at napa auto) . Pump makes 62 psi

    Excellent!

Posted by John on Dec 2nd 2016

I wasn't sure if my pump was tired until I installed this one. Damn! Completely different truck, I installed a fuel pressure gauge after I put this new pump in...pushing 68-72psi now. Makes me curious what the old pump was pushing. Truck is running great. I also installed the fuel crossover.
