First off, the Autometer boost gauge is a tough fit, as many people have said. I had to modify the back of the raised gauge pod opening to relieve pressure on the vacuum line. I don't want kinks or sharp bends to that line coming off the gauge. There may be other adapters that allow for more depth/less angle for the vac line, but it won't be much more, not for my gauge. It's just a plain old Autometer boost gauge, black to match the OEM. The other issue is that the shifter, when raised up to the full, 'Park' position, contacts the upper edge of the hole. I'm picky, but it was another area that required some dremel work to fit properly. Overall, it's a decent gauge pod, but if I had known how much material I'd have to modify to get it to fit properly, I would've gone with an A-pillar mount for sure. If you're not doing a boost gauge, it should be much easier to properly fit a gauge and wiring in there, but if you're getting an Autometer boost gauge for this pod, know that you'll be doing a little work...or have a tightly angled vac line.

Fit nicely other then I had to trim a little bit so the shift lever would not come in contact with it when putting in park. Easy to install and the trimming was no big deal as that’s all part of aftermarket stuff. Holds my Snow Performance water/meth gauge nicely and in very handy spot for making adjustments.

Fit well, functions flawlessly. This piece does not replace the top half of the steering column cover (like I originally thought) it slides over top of it then gets secured.

Painted to match factory interior and looks nice. Only flaw is the shifter will hit sometimes when putting in park. Could have trimmed the hole a little before install to solve the problem.

This pod looks good when it is all done, but a Dremel really comes in handy as there is considerable trimming to shorten it and enlarge the opening so the shift lever doesn't hit when shifting into park.

The gauge fits tightly in the opening which is good as it is necessary to cut off the standard mounting screws.

This pod works fine on the Excursion despite the manufacturers website saying it doesn't. You do NOT need to trim the hole for the shifter anymore. I don't know if Clay is trimming them now or the manufacturer fixed this problem, but it slides right on with a little wiggling and angling just right. It will not stay all the way down without the tape or plastic rivets, so pick your poison on those two. It rides up with vibrations over a short time.

Love the placement and look. You need to trim the hole for the shifter not to hit it when you put it in park and the stick pads don't work the best. But all in all I'd recommend it

The pod is ok, the plastic needs to be trimmed about 1/2 inch to keep the shifter from hitting it when returning to park. This will do for now but if I had two more gauges I would have gone with the triple setup that mounts under the dash by the cup holder.
Don't get wrong it sits my hpop gauge right where I can see it without looking away from the road. Just takes a little effort to make it fit the right way.

It fit perfect, but the stick tabs to hold it in place are a little tricky to put on without them moving on you as you put the pod on.
