    AutoMeter Overhead Console

Posted by Robert on Mar 8th 2022

I ordered this overhead console, since I already have a pillar gauge mount and no more room. After installing it with a rear axle temp gauge I really love it. Way better than I thought it was going to be. I painted it to match the pillar mount too. Its much nicer to have your eyes glance at the overhead than if you were to get a dash mount somewhere as that would be to low. The way it mounts with the new style of velcro on windshield is really actually nice, just take a alcohol pad and clean the surface, I applied both sides of velcro to the back of the pod and when I was ready after installing gauge just removed the backing and aligned the pod and pressed it too the windshield and held for a couple minutes. Its not going anywhere, very nice to install, you won't be disappointed.

    Great look

I got the 2 gauge pillar for 1999 F250. Installed really easy. Only thing I had to lower the mirror slightly. I like the look. Also the paint matches more dash perfectly.

Fits good and out of the way. Nice and neat not a bulky riser post. Clean looking

    AUTOMETER 3 GAUGE OVERHEAD CONSOLE

Working on adding this to my 97 OBS which already has a 3 gauge pillar pod with Performax gauges. Quite a bit of modification to make it work, but it fit pretty well and looks awesome.

    Not bad

Fits against the windshield really good. Top tucks under nicely. I had to remove the rear view mirror for it to fit. Unless you want it offset. Gauges fit very very tighly. Downside is it attaches with hook and look strips. It's definitely very secure, but shows a little on the windshield if yours doesn't say super duty across it.

Trick for removing the mirror mount is to heat it up with a lighter. And sneak a razor blade behind it.

Great alternative to pillar mounts. Easy to put in place and no problems the mount.
