The covers work equally well on both oiled and non-oiled filter elements to prevent larger debris from prematurely reducing critical air flow to your engine.
Installation Note: Take care installed over filter elements with metal cages as a metal snag can tear your cover.

Filter cover
Very breathable material. Great idea for keeping grime off the filter. Nice to know I don’t have to worry about it when I’m working under the hood.

Outer Wears
Mostly satisfied with the product quality and price. If they could just make the tensile strength a bit tougher I would give it 5 stars. I’m not a dissatisfied customer though. I just have a small hole in the screen where there wasn’t one before.

Wears well (it does wear). Wish the ends closed up tighter but for a product that endures heat, dirt, and constant vibration it's worth it.

If you use the 6637 filter this is a must
I have loved my Riffraff DIY 6637 since the day I installed it. This is the best prefilter sock I have seen. My air filter lasts so much longer and when I do decide to change the filter it still looks clean. Just wash the sock, hang dryer and bam. The filter ain't cheap so use the sock. I bought a second to trade out when I'm waiting for the other. Thanks Riffraff you have real products that I actually need.
