The covers work equally well on both oiled and non-oiled filter elements to prevent larger debris from prematurely reducing critical air flow to your engine.
Installation Note: Take care installed over filter elements with metal cages as a metal snag can tear your cover.

Purchased this cover for my 97' a well as my 99'. Quality product, quick shipping response, and an extended filter life. I highly recommend the riffraff 6637 cover to anyone running or installing the napa 6647 air filter.

6637 Replacement Cover
Great product, well made and looks great under the hood. For those of you that are running a similar size filter to the 6637, take into accouter whether it's open at the front or not. For example: this product was designed for the 6637 which is not open top, so the cover doesn't cover the top portion of the filter just around the circumference. This product will fit the AFE Big Boost but won't cover the top which it also gathers air from. I have the Big Boost and I still purchased the product, it helps. I would recommend!
